New Addition

Jed had planned to spend a week or two at Grandpa and Grandma Wingard's house this summer. We made the long trek to GA to drop him off only to find out that Wendell needed to have a stint put in. He was still welcome to stay but he would have to spend 2 days with granny alone, gasp! And he would have to stay for three weeks. He said thanks but no thanks.

One reason Jed loves to go to Grandpa Wingards is because of his dog Jack. Jack was one of grandpa's German shepherds. Jack got heart worms and died about 5 days before Jed was supposed to get there so grandpa hunted down and bought a German shepherd pup for Jed. He is adorable. I knew as soon as I saw him that we couldn't leave him. Jed named him lil' Jack. ; )

It's very much like having a baby in the house. Yes, he is going to be a house dog. He's doing much better at night. The first 4 days he was here he cried half the night because he didn't want to be in the kennel. He was quiet through the night last night, now if we can just get him potty trained.

Happy Sandwich Commercial

KRAFT - Have a Happy Sandwich

Joshua entered this contest a couple years ago. I thought it was a great production but they didn't read the fine print. No one under 18, so they weren't even considered.

Last night the LAF (Learning Adventures of Fort Bend) teens put on a trial to end all trials. They did a mock trial, Mrs. Jenkins Vs. White star lines. Mrs. Jenkins was suing the White star Lines for the death of her husband. Trevor played Officer Lightower. He did an excellent job!

A New Truck

Well, we all remember tracking the milestones our little ones meet, they say their first word, take their first step and go to kindergarten. Yes, it doesn't matter how old they are we still watch them meet the milestone. They are just a little more traumatic, get their driver license, first date, first girlfriend, first kiss, and now buying their first car.

Joshua purchased his first vehicle yesterday, a 2001 Ford F150 XLT extended cab. He is very excited and we are very proud. Scott helped him find what we think was a great deal. He went to his savings account and pulled out the cash. He filled out the paperwork, it's all in his name. This morning he has gone to add it to our insurance and get the state inspection. I'm not sure this is a milestone I'm ready for.
